The night befor Christmas

Just wanted to share with you one last post before Christmas. I am excited to share my early Christmas present with you, the other day I found 3 half, wine barrels that a lady was thronging out, as she was redoing her garden, I had wanted some wine barrels for a long time but with 3 teen children and starting out in my own business the budget would just not allow it, so you can imagin how pleased I was when she was happy for me to take them. I came home and immediately arranged were I wanted them to go. I have a little dead spot outside my bedroom window, it gets to much sun in the summer and to much shade in the winter, it is also were I buried my gorgeous little dog, Paris. I had the intention of making it a nice little court yard to enjoy. Finally it has happened thanks to my family and friends. This is the before and after photos

What a change, I love it there is still some work to be done. I want to plant herbs in the bottom of the tubs and Veg and herbs in the one in the corner near the house. I also want to buy some outdoor material and foam to make a cushion for the trunk, making it a seat as well as storage for my gardening tools and pots.My kids made the cross that is against the wall were Paris is sleeping.

2006, Poppy took Paris & Kial to visit the firemen that work on Christmas day.
Poppy is the FESA Chaplin. Please spare a thought for those who work to keep us all safe at Christmas.

Thankyou to all that view my blog, wishing you all a lovely and safe Christmas with your loved ones. God Bless.

bird house

I love this minature bird house that my youngest daughter and I made.

This idea came about as I was cleaning my work space
(after making this minature nativity set)

The center pieces that had been cut out to make the box were solid little house shaped blocks. I thought I could make some little villages out of them or a bird house. As I was thinking about this Tammara my daughter said "I could make some sculpey birds for it"  Tamara even made a tiny egg and placed it inside the nest. Most of the things I make are for sale but this little bird house has pride of place on a wall in my house. I love it when my families talents blend together, that is something wonderful and I will always treasure this item.

lamp makeover

I know this is not the normal kind of thing I Post, but I brought some chrome paint recently for some Christmas bells I cut on my scroll saw, and I got to thinking what else could I paint? Today I took a visit to a salvo store and this lamp caught my eye. I had seen one in a blog musings from a french cottage were she had made a lamp over by painting with mirror paint, so I thought I would give it a go. I love how it turned out!! I have been busy scroll sawing the last few weeks so I will be posting more very soon. I hope you all enjoy your creative endeavors.

I made her the stands for display as well as the Words Bear cub designs & Helen Gleeson. I think it all worked well congratulations Helen!

Pau

This was a custom order I received recently.I love the creativity of custom orders, A friend from church had a guest visiting from England, who viewed my web and blog and liked the Paris cutout. The word Paris with the A as the Eiffel tower, But wondered if I could adapted it to Pau.Pau is a small place in France, with snowy mountains so she thought it would look good if I could incorporate that in to the word. This is what I came up with. She was thrilled with the result.
